Read the dialogue:

Doctor: Hello, Mr…?
Mohammed: Mohammed. Mohammed Et Metwalli
Doctor: Please, take a seat. Now, what seems to be the trouble?
Mohammed: I’ve got a terrible pain in my shoulders
Doctor: I see. Do you know when it started?
Mohammed: About three days ago, I think.
Doctor: Oh, Dear. Well, I’d better take a look. Now, where does it hurt exactly?
Mohammed: Just here, in the middle of my shoulder, at the back.
Doctor: Right, Is it painful if I do this?
Mohammed: Yes, it hurts a lot!
Doctor: Are you allergic to anything?
Mohammed: No, I don’t think so.
Doctor: Hmmm. Have you got any other symptoms?
Mohammed: yes, I have a dab headache and I feel very dizzy.
Doctor: Have you been taking anything for it?
Mohammed: No, I haven’t I wanted to see a doctor first.
Doctor: Ok, well. The first thing I want to do is take your temperature and then we’ll do a full examination.

DESCRIBING HEALTH PROBLEMS

My food is badly swollen
I need some tissues. I’ve got runny nose
Have you got anything for a sore throat?
Mike often has a nose bleed in the morning
Aunt Sophia has sprained her ankle
I’ve got a high temperature
I feel very feverish. I’s sweating a lot
I have no feeling in my fingers. They are numb.
I’ve got a bad rash on my arm
What are these blotches all over my neck?
My legs are very itchy I can’t stop scratching.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Two tablets twice a day for five days
Use an inhaler / come back next week
Take two spoonfuls every three hours/ don’t drive

PATIENTS: Imagine you are ill. Make a list of your symptoms. Then find a doctor and describe what’s wrong. Listen carefully the doctor’s diagnosis and instructions.
DOCTORS: listen to your patient describe their health problems. Ask questions to help you make an accurate diagnosis. Then prescribe some medicine and give instructions

Ficha caracterización del personaje

El trabajo del actor consiste en el desarrollo de un proceso de creación. Este proceso, si bien juega con las peculiares característica que poseemos todos como personas, también requiere un trabajo técnico y sistemático a través del cual el actor se transforma y se crea una vida -escénica- nueva. En este proceso de creación de un nuevo y desconocido "ser", pasamos, como en cualquier relación social, a presentarnos mutuamente. Y en esta presentación, nos separamos, encontramos similitudes y diferencias insalvables.
